Abstract

Who are we? is a question that has inspired philosophers for centuries. In the age of scientific and
technological civilization and a world full of conveniences it becomes a burning question mainly because
human life is still not comfortable. Adam Hart takes up the challenge of confronting the evolutionary
achievements of the Homo species and the world created by it, showing that our life is not, because of
fundamental reasons, it cannot be the realization of idyllic visions.
